Decommissioned Airfields, with Charles Waldheim & the Harvard GSD Office for Urbanization; Mendoza, Argentina

A series of scenarios were developed and refined to address the ecological, programmatic, infrastructural, and hydrological potential of the decommissioned Mendoza Aeroparque. Community meetings and on-site visits revealed further opportunities for the exploration of potential scenarios for the site, each exploring the scale and relationship of various programs for the local residents.

The project includes the publishing of ‘Airfield Manual: The Case of the Mendoza Aeroparque’ and ‘Airfield Manual: Field Guide to the Transformation of Abandoned Airports.’
