Walden Pond Landscape, for Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates; Concord, MA. Site Photos by Iwan Baan and MVVA.
Construction administration for the Walden Pond landscape involved the selection and tagging of a palette of plants to complement the new visitor center by Maryann Thompson Architects.
An understory mix of witchhazel, inkberry, viburnum and mountain laurel rest beneath a copse of multistem amelanchier. The project also includes the design and implementation of a wood walk, timber deck and layout of salvaged timber benches across this historic site.
